Connells Point P&C Association

Welcome to your P&C Association

Connells Point Public School is a great community, with wonderful, teachers, support staff and students.  The P&C Association is a wonderful extension of this community whereby we support our school through fundraising events, managing the canteen and the uniform shop, working on special projects in collaboration with the school and much more.

The P&C is a school-based organisation open to all parents, teachers and interested community members offering you the opportunity to get involved as much or as little as your busy schedule can afford.

We are a dedicated committee whose common objective is to be actively involved in improving our children's schooling environment and building a strong community. Money raised contributes towards achieving this objective.

For example, in the last 12 months, the P&C has been able to buy new Smartboards, we have enhanced classrooms by enclosing verandahs, as well building a new easy access toilet block for our less mobile students. In addition the P&C has purchased, new sporting equipment including basketball backboards and portable soccer goals.

The P&C continues to provide extra-curricular activities such as tennis lessons and more recently drama classes.

We will continue to support the initiatives of the school as we acknowledge the benefits of engaging a Well Being Teacher and co-funding art classes conducted by Mrs. Anya Abelas.

Our commitment to building an inclusive community for all sees us continue improve our communications with Chinese families by using WeChat group messaging and the amazing translating efforts of our Chinese Liaison Parent Helen Zhao

All of this is only achievable because of the generous support and time offered by school families and community.

I encourage you to attend one of our P&C meetings to see for yourself.

Our meetings are generally held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, with announcements made via our Facebook page and via the school newsletter.

The P&C relies heavily on the support of volunteers for the effective running of the P&C-managed uniform shop and canteen as well as for the organisation and running of every P&C event. We would love for you and your family to help where possible and any assistance is very much appreciated. Not only does this support and strengthen our school community, your children love having a family member involved. Moreover, it is an ideal way of getting to know other families within the school and local community.
